College construction may delay trail users

Published: Thursday, May. 29, 2008

Construction at Sierra College's Nevada County campus may cause delays beginning Monday for people using a popular, paved trail in Grass Valley.

The Litton Trail, which runs along the edge of the site for the college's new public safety training center, will be affected but not closed by construction over the next five months, a news release says.

Trail users may be halted periodically for several minutes while logging and earth-moving operations are in progress. Construction will occur from the upper to the east side of campus near the Robotic Observatory. Signs will be posted at all entrances of the trail.

For more information about the project and trail usage, call Donna Brazil-Bloche at (530) 274-5327 or e-mail dbrazil@sierracollege.edu
