Relaxing before his team's California Interscholastic Federation Northern California semifinal Saturday, Oak Ridge High School girls basketball coach Steve White got lost in a familiar daydream the one in which superstar guard Sara James hits a game-winning shot.
Berkeley beat Kennedy 52-47: Leslie Leong's potential tying three-pointer from the top of the key with eight seconds left rimmed out, and the visiting Cougars (29-5) had to foul to stop the clock, allowing the top-seeded Yellowjackets (28-3) to hold on.
