1. Chris Long, 6-4, 274, Sr., Virginia. Probably most ready to contribute immediately. Has great technique, and it doesn't hurt that his father is Hall of Famer Howie Long.
2. Vernon Gholston, 6-4, 265, Jr., Ohio State. As fast as some wide receivers and stronger than many offensive linemen, he could be the star of this class. Needs to be more consistent.
3. Derrick Harvey, 6-5, 260, Jr., Florida. Gators who can pass-rush are nothing new. Harvey gets to the quarterback because he has great speed.
4. Phillip Merling, 6-5, 270, Jr., Clemson. Has the size to be a solid "base end" or play well against the run as well as pass-rush. Means he could fit in a 4-3 or 3-4 scheme.
5. Calais Campbell, 6-8, 280, Jr., Miami. Another player with the makeup of an every-down player in a league full of specialists.
