Bruschetta breakfast
I have tried so many recipes from The Bee's food section, and they were all good. Now I need some help. I am looking for a bruschetta recipe using cheese, basil, tomatoes, garlic, olive oil and balsamic vinegar. I don't know the amounts of these ingredients. I use it on sourdough bread and broil it a few minutes. It's my favorite breakfast. I hope someone can help. Thank you.

Black Oak's bread pudding
My wife and I have been traveling to the Black Oak restaurant two to three times a month for lunch for over a year now. One of our favorite dishes is its bread pudding with hot cinnamon sauce. Would they part with their recipe?
Bill Rietdorf, Sacramento
Note from Teri Watson: I checked with the owner of the Black Oak, Linda Kenyon. She says that it was her parents' recipe and, unfortunately, she is not able to share it.
Does anyone have a recipe similar to the Black Oak's that they'd be willing to share?
Pumpkin gingerbread
A pumpkin gingerbread recipe was in the food section of The Bee in the mid- to late 1980s. It had honey, wheat germ and a yogurt glaze. Does anyone have this recipe?

Keep your comments civil. Don't insult one another or the subjects of our articles. If you think a comment violates our guidelines click the "report abuse" button to notify the moderators. Responding to the comment will only encourage bad behavior.
Don't use profanities, vulgarities or hate speech. This is a general interest news site. Sometimes, there are children present. Don't say anything in a way you wouldn't want your own child to hear.
Do not attack other users; focus your comments on issues, not individuals.

Don't repeat the same comment over and over. We heard you the first time.
Do not use the commenting system for advertising. That's spam and it isn't allowed.
Don't use all capital letters. That's akin to yelling and not appreciated by the audience.
