Five days after its debut, Roseville's Fountains shopping center, on Galleria Boulevard and Roseville Parkway, will have all its namesake water features running for the holiday weekend.
Operators closed the children's play fountain for several days this week to lay down a non-slip surface, said a spokeswoman.
The $70 million, 330,000-square-foot center is also continuing to make adjustments to the fountains to maximize water conservation, such as meters that sense high winds and adjust water heights accordingly.
"We designed (the fountains) to have a maximum 'wow' factor," said fountain contractor Mark Hansen of Nimbus Pond Construction, "but (we) were also environmentally responsible."
