The following information was provided by the Placer County Sheriff's Department and the Roseville and Rocklin police departments from reports available for public review.
204 Harding Blvd., Roseville, arrests. Kindra Lynne Maxwell, 32, and Ruth Adrienne Carter, 31, were arrested between 11:28 p.m. Feb. 20 and 12:15 a.m. Feb. 21 on suspicion of burglary and conspiracy after police searched their room at the Heritage Inn and found fictitious checks, a methamphetamine pipe and Wal-Mart receipts. Wal-Mart staff members told police that two women fitting the suspects' descriptions had passed a check bearing the same name that was on the checks found in their room.
1000 block of Old Mill Circle, Roseville, arrest. Kenneth Charles Machen, 27, was arrested at 2:45 p.m. Feb. 20 on suspicion of possessing, manufacturing or selling dangerous weapons after police found a shuriken, or Japanese throwing star, at his residence.
10375 Fairway Drive, Roseville, arrest. Jeanine Pratt, 33, was arrested at 1:20 p.m. Feb. 20 at Kohl's on suspicion of burglary and giving false identification to a peace officer after she allegedly entered the store, concealed items in her purse and clothing and left without paying.
200 block of North Sunrise Avenue, Roseville, arrest. Brian James Pschandl, 21, was arrested at 7:45 p.m. Feb. 20 on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance for transportation and sale after officers stopped him for a traffic violation and reportedly found him in possession of OxyContin pills for sale.
100 block of Circuit Drive, Roseville, arrest. Juan Faustino Valencia Jr., 19, was arrested at 10:20 p.m. Feb. 20 on suspicion of battery, participating in a street gang and assault with a deadly weapon after a dispute between rival gang members Feb. 16.
1100 block of Hickory Street, Roseville, theft from a vehicle. A catalytic converter valued at $400 was stolen from a 2002 Toyota pickup truck between 7 p.m. Feb. 19 and 8:08 a.m. Feb. 20.
Somer Ridge Drive, Roseville, arrest. Justin Dane Hurst, 27, was arrested at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 16 on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, making criminal threats, parole violation and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
1151 Galleria Blvd., Roseville, arrest. Nikolas Joshua Willhite, 21, was arrested at 5 p.m. Feb. 17 at the F.Y.E. store in the Roseville Galleria on suspicion of burglary, conspiracy, grand theft and petty theft with prior convictions.
108 Harding Blvd., Roseville, robbery. Dollar Tree was robbed at 10:05 p.m. Feb. 17 by someone who was waiting for employees at the exit near closing time. The robber told the clerk to go into the office and open the safe but fled before it could be done.
350 Atlantic St., Roseville, attempted burglary. Two people pulled a screen off a window at Adelante High School at 10:29 p.m. Feb. 13 and unsuccessfully tried to pry open a window.
3100 block of Village Plaza Drive, Roseville, burglary. Someone broke into a home between 4:15 p.m. Feb. 12 and 7:20 a.m. Feb. 13 and vandalized a white stair banister and a Sheetrock wall. The damage was estimated at $1,350.
4320 Pacific St., Rocklin, vehicle theft. Someone entered an enclosed parking lot at K
&M Building Materials and stole a Case tractor between noon Jan. 18 and 2 p.m. Jan. 23. The theft was reported Feb. 19. No estimated of monetary losses was included.
2600 block of Meridian Way, Rocklin, burglary. Someone entered a 2006 Mazda by unknown means between 8:30 p.m. Feb. 17 and 11 a.m. Feb. 18 and stole 100 compact discs and 40 DVDs from underneath the front passenger seat. The loss was estimated at $2,300.
Shady Trail Lane, Rocklin, vandalism. Someone used a BB gun to shoot out three dual-pane windows on a home under construction between 5 p.m. Feb. 14 and 2 p.m. Feb. 15. The loss was estimated at $1,000.
1900 block of Hillcrest Drive, Newcastle, grand theft. An outboard motor was taken off a boat parked in a carport between 9:30 a.m. Feb. 7 and 8:50 p.m. the following day. The motor's value was not listed on the report.
3900 block of Crystal Downs Court, Roseville, grand theft. About $3,200 in property was taken from an unlocked car parked on the street between 9:30 p.m. Feb. 6 and 12:45 p.m. the next day.
8777 Sierra College Blvd., Granite Bay, burglary. Someone broke into a locked electrical room at a business complex under construction and stole copper wire Jan. 31 or Feb. 1. The thief also vandalized the control panels. About $8,000 in theft and vandalism was estimated.
6300 block of Fern Leaf Drive, Granite Bay, burglary. Three laptop computers valued at $3,000 were taken from a home by a thief who entered through an unlocked door. The crime occurred between 4:45 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. Feb. 4.
270 Technology Way, Rocklin, burglary. A laptop computer valued at $1,200 was stolen from a commercial building between 7:30 p.m. Feb. 1 and 7:30 a.m. the next day.
3500 block of Sapphire Drive, Auburn, fraud. A resident contacted sheriff's officials Jan. 24 to report that someone apparently had stolen his unemployment check from his mailbox earlier that month and cashed it. He lost $132.
Caballo Circle near Richardson Drive, Auburn, vandalism. Vandals used vehicles to damage home sites under construction between 4:30 p.m. Feb. 4 and 6:30 a.m. the following day. About $4,000 in damage was estimated.
12700 block of Manor Drive, Auburn, theft. A vehicle was left unlocked in a driveway and the owner discovered shortly before noon Feb. 5 that someone had taken $2,340 in property from the vehicle, which included tools, CDs and glasses.
Newcastle Road and Interstate 80, Newcastle, fraud. A taxi driver contacted the Sheriff's Department at 1 p.m. Feb. 2 to report that a customer ran up a $275 fare and then couldn't pay. Arrested on a charge of defrauding the driver was Xia Vue, 30, of Sacramento. She was released on a promise to appear in court.
