Two Auburn men face felony charges after drugs and explosives were found last week in their home, the Placer County District Attorney's Office announced.
Sheriff's officers went to the men's residence in the Auburn Greens area Feb. 19 with a search warrant and discovered methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, 12 sticks of dynamite, two pounds of TNT and various other explosives, said Scott Owens, a senior deputy district attorney.
Arrested were Vasny Gerson Zavala-Vigil, 28, and Nery Pancan, whose age was not listed on a news release from the District Attorney's Office.
Owens said Zavala-Vigil was arraigned last week on drug and explosives charges and pleaded not guilty. He is in the Placer County jail on $100,000 bail and on a hold for immigration officials, who say he was in the country illegally.
Pancan has posted bail and is awaiting arraignment March 11, Owens said.
