Database: See who is lobbying state government

During the 2009-2010 legislative session, interest groups spent $539 million lobbying state government. That's enough to pay the salaries of all 2,200 legislative staffers and legislators during the same period -- and then pay those salaries again.

During the 2011-2012 legislative session, interest groups spent $564 million lobbying state government. That's enough to enough to run the state parks department for a year. Lobbying expenditures increased 5 percent during the last session compared to the previous one, representing a full recovery from a brief dip in lobbyist spending during the recession -- and a new, all-time record. Use this database to search every organization that recently paid lobbyists.
