See areas with most students at unhealthy weights
More than one of every four fifth-, seventh- and ninth-graders in the Sacramento region had enough body fat last year to put them at high risk for health problems, according to state physical fitness results released today.
The region's socioeconomically-disadvantaged students were most likely to have an unhealthy body composition. Almost one-third of local students in that group was deemed to be at "high risk" for health problems due to the amount of fat in their bodies, compared to less than one-sixth of wealthier students.
This map shows the proportion of students in each school with an unhealthy amount of body fat.
RED : More than 33 percent of students are at high risk for health problems due to body fat.
YELLOW : Between 20 percent and 33 percent of students are at high risk.
GREEN : Fewer than 20 percent of students are at high risk.
