TONIGHT’S GAME
KINGS (4-9) VS. CLIPPERS (11-5)
Time: 7 p.m.
Where: Sleep Train Arena
TV: CSNCA
Radio: 1140
THREE KEYS
1. Checking CP3: The Kings need to find someone willing to accept the challenge of making it tough on Clippers star Chris Paul to dictate the pace of the game. Luc Mbah a Moute took on that role in the second half of last Saturday’s game, but he’s been traded to Minnesota for Derrick Williams. Paul said his injured hamstring will be fine tonight.
2. Gang rebounding: Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan will hurt the Kings with offensive rebounds if the Kings do not box them out and play physically. If Griffin or Jordan are to score, the Kings want to force them to score through halfcourt offense, not easy putbacks.
3. Cousins in control: The Clippers have not been able to slow down DeMarcus Cousins in two meetings this season. Cousins has hurt the Clippers with his scoring, rebounding and passing. If the Clippers double team Cousins, he has to be ready to pass to teammates who need to be ready to capitalize on open shots.
