With two outs in the ninth, Austin March delivered a bases-loaded single to give UC Davis a 5-4 nonconference win over visiting Eastern Michigan on Tuesday at Dobbins Stadium, UCD reported.
The Aggies (6-2-1) tied the score 4-4 with a run in the eighth, UC Davis reported. Izaak Silva reached on an error at third, allowing Nick Lynch, who had doubled, to score. Silva finished with two hits, including a triple.
March was 3 for 4 with three RBIs as part of a 10-hit attack for UC Davis, which won its second game in a row.
Eastern Michigan (2-6) led 4-2 in the fourth inning. The Eagles are playing their first 21 games of the season on the road.
UCD golf seventh at Santa Ana
Betty Chen’s par 72 helped the UC Davis women’s golf team to a seventh-place finish in the UC Irvine Invitational at Santa Ana Country Club, UCD reported. Chen had two birdies in her round. Washington won the three-round tournament by 11 strokes over USC.
