UC Davis will open Sept. 3 at Pacific-12 Conference power Oregon and also will play at Wyoming on Sept. 17 to highlight its 11-game 2016 football schedule.
Oregon finished 9-4 last season and lost 47-41 to TCU in the Alamo Bowl while Wyoming, a member of the Mountain West Conference, went 2-10 under second-year coach Craig Bohl. He led North Dakota State to three consecutive Football Championship Subdivision national championships before becoming the Cowboys’ coach.
The Aggies will play five home games, starting Sept. 10 with 2014 NAIA national champion Southern Oregon and closing Nov. 19 with the 63rd annual Causeway Classic against Sacramento State.
UCD also will play Weber State Sept. 24 in the Big Sky Conference opener, Northern Colorado Oct. 15 and Portland State Nov. 5 at Aggie Stadium.
The Aggies will play conference road games Oct. 1 at Eastern Washington, Oct. 8 at defending Big Sky champion South Utah, Oct. 22 at Cal Poly and Nov. 12 at Montana State.
UCD finished 2-9 last season, 2-6 in conference.
