Jason Elenberger, Jesuit

Jason Elenberger has studied the history book of quarterbacks at Jesuit High School and couldn't wait to write his own chapter. Ken O'Brien in 1977, Greg Harcos in 1988, J.T. O'Sullivan in 1996, C.J. Bacher in 2003 and Thomas Sperbeck last season. An All-Delta River League wide receiver in 2012, Elenberger rushed eight times for 273 yards and five touchdowns, both school records for a quarterback, in beating Sheldon 69-40 and clinching a Sac-Joaquin Section Division I playoff berth. He is The Bee's Prep of the Week through a fan vote on, bettering his eight-game rushing total in one night. An honors student, Elenberger is an effective passer with 1,455 yards and 17 touchdowns. He didn't throw an interception in Jesuit's first seven games.
