The talk about the Kings on Tuesday wasn’t Omri Casspi’s 36-point effort in a 122-103 loss to Golden State on Monday. It was mostly DeMarcus Cousins’ ejection in the third quarter (the 10th of his career) that sparked a 15-0 Warriors’ run.
But Casspi’s play is worth a second look. He set a franchise records for most made three-pointers in a quarter with six and in a half (seven). He was 9 of 12 for the game and now shares the franchise mark for most made three-pointers with Mike Bibby. Casspi’s 36 points were a career high. By comparison, the Warriors’ Stephen Curry was 6 of 13 from three-point range and finished with 29 points.
