Kings center DeMarcus Cousins and forward Rudy Gay, both injured during the first half of Wednesday’s 119-98 loss to the Rockets in Houston, are listed as day to day by the team.
Cousins was diagnosed with a sprained left ankle. He is averaging a team-leading 22.6 points and 11.6 rebounds.
Gay strained his left Achilles’ tendon, and an MRI on Thursday was negative. Gay is averaging 20.1 points.
It’s uncertain if either play will be able to play Friday against the Indiana Pacers in the Kings’ first home game after a six-game, nine-day road trip.
