MINNEAPOLIS Kings center DeMarcus Cousins will not play tonight because of right knee tendinitis and is listed as day-to-day.

Cousins’ status was announced after coach Michael Malone had addressed the media.

Aaron Gray will start for Cousins.

*Minnesota will be without its starting center, Nikola Pekovic (ankle). Rookie Gorgui Dieng will start for Pekovic.

*Reggie Evans is starting again at power forward for the Kings to deal with Kevin Love in the paint.

Prediction time: Minnesota is at home and has the best player for either team in Love. The Kings are 0-9 without Cousins this season.

Minnesota 104, Kings 91

My record: My record: 40-25 (minus the pregame session missed due to travel issues).
