NBA announces dates for Las Vegas Summer League

The NBA announced Monday the 2014 Summer League would begin July 11 in Las Vegas.

Teams will play three preliminary games July 11-15 before being seeded for a tournament to name a summer league champion July 21.

Each team is guaranteed to play five games.

The Kings plan to have a training camp in Las Vegas before summer league. Ben McLemore, Ray McCallum and Derrick Williams are among the players from last season that have been asked to play for the Kings this summer.

• The Kings will play the Los Angeles Lakers in the preseason Oct. 24 in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, the Lakers announced Monday.
