SANTA CLARA -- Jim Harbaugh and the 49ers had a productive, team-building field trip in Ohio during his first year as head coach in 2011.
The hope is that Chip Kelly and the 49ers can discover the same magic in central Florida.
The team has decided to spend the interim between its Nov. 27 road trip to Miami and its Dec. 4 visit to Chicago in Orlando. The 49ers will practice at the University of Central Florida, which is coached by Scott Frost, who was once an assistant under Kelly at the University of Oregon.
The sessions will not be open to the public.
Harbaugh and the 49ers stayed at Youngstown State in 2011 between visits to the Bengals and Eagles and won both contests. The team returned to Youngstown the following year between a loss to the Vikings and a win over the Jets.
