The River Cats racked up their second straight 4-2 win over the Las Vegas 51s on Thursday night at Raley Field.
Once again, Sacramento had the benefit of strong pitching. Nik Turley (5-5) allowed just three hits and one run in seven innings. He struck out eight.
The key blow for Sacramento was Kevin Frandsen’s second-inning double with the bases loaded that scored three runs.
The loss went to Las Vegas’ Luis Cessa (0-3), who allowed all of Sacramento’s runs in the first two innings.
Las Vegas’ Dan Rohlfing had the game’s only home run, in the third inning.
