Poll: Is 17-year-old’s long, solo wilderness trek a good idea?

Laina Rose, a 17-year-old young woman from Redding, has hiked - alone - a good portion of the 2,650-mile Pacific Crest Trail and says she wants to complete the trek. It’s a big challenge even for people with more experience and hikers who set out with companions, let alone a person not yet in college. What do you think, is such an adventure a good idea?
