LAST WEEK

49ers: Lost to Dallas Cowboys 35-22. The defense, cornerback Nate Clements in particular, was torched by Terrell Owens for 213 receiving yards.

Bills: Defeated Kansas City 54-31. Behind former Stanford quarterback Trent Edwards, the Bills enjoyed their biggest point-total since 1992.

Skinny: Buffalo ended a four-game losing streak last week and is still in playoff contention; the 49ers are just trying to punch teams in the mouth before ducking.

Raiders: Defeated Denver 31-10. Oakland's offense finally woke up after a 15-quarter snooze to embarrass the Broncos. JaMarcus Russell was not sacked.

Chiefs: Lost to Buffalo Bills 54-31. Never have the Chiefs taken such a beating as they did against the Bills. Linebacker Derrick Johnson called it "embarrassing."

Skinny: The last time the Raiders won consecutive games? Last season against the Chiefs (Week 12) and the Broncos (Week 13). Will 13 be a lucky number again?
