No one deserved to enjoy at least one win in the past week more than Salmons, who – entering Saturday night's game against Dallas – had averaged 25.5 points in losses to the Lakers, Portland, New Jersey and Utah. Not only did he hit 38 of 69 attempts for a 55 percent clip, he showcased an improved three-point shot by hitting 10 of 19 (52.6 percent) from beyond the arc. The lone disclaimer, of course, is that Salmons could have secured at least one win himself, as his two missed free throws in the final 25 seconds against the Nets led to the overtime defeat.
ON ICE
SF Donté Greene
For the time being, Nov. 19 qualifies as an aberration. The rookie started and responded with 15 points (5-of-9 shooting, including three three-pointers) in a win over New Orleans. But in Greene's last four games, he has hit just 4 of 16 from the field while playing sporadic minutes (23, 7, 17, and 30, respectively).
