Q: What does a successful 2009 season look like for you?
A: Similar to my 2008 season. Play some really good golf and give myself more chances to win.
Q: What's your best New Year's resolution?
A: I don't have one.
Q: What's the most pressing issue on your tour?
A: The economy. Maybe not this year but next year, the year after.
Q: What's your go-to ball?
A: A draw.
Q: Who's your instructor, and how often do you see him?
A: (Sacramento's) Don Baucom. In the winter, once a week. When I'm home, I go see him.
Q: What's one swing thought you're working on?
A: Trying to get off the ball. Give myself a little more space in my backswing.
Q: Any changes in your equipment?
A: Pretty much the same. Just a newer version of the same irons.
Q: Who are the three other current pros in your favorite foursome?
A: Paul Goydos, Steve Flesch and Tiger Woods. Goydos and Flesch are my closest friends on tour.
Q: How do you identify your ball?
A: One black dot undernearth the number.
Q: How many marked balls do you begin a round with, and how often do you change?
A: Not a set-in-stone number, but I won't start a round without at least 10. Every three to six holes.
Q: Who's your caddie, for how long, and what's your dynamic like?
A: Shawn Segars. Together for 2 1/2 years. You have to be great friends with your caddie.
Q: What's a ballpark figure in sponsorship income if you didn't make a cut in 2009?
A: $300,000.
