Tom Knudson has worked at The Bee since 1988. In 1992, he wrote a series of stories about the Sierra Nevada that received a Pulitzer Prize for public service. Knudson also won a Pulitzer Prize for national reporting at the Des Moines Register in 1985. This spring, Knudson received a citation for excellence for international environmental reporting from the Overseas Press Club of America for the “State of Denial” series about California's global demand for natural resources.
