Here are the 49ers who will be inactive for today's game:
CB Keith Smith, who was signed earlier this week, LB Diyral Briggs, C Cody Wallace, S Reggie Smith (groin), CB Nate Clements (shoulder), DE Demetric Evans (shoulder) and T Joe Staley (knee). Nate Davis is the No. 3 quarterback. That means all six of the 49ers' receivers are active, including Jason Hill and Brandon Jones. Look for Hill to play some gunner on punts ...
For the Titans:
CB Nick Harper, RB Javon Ringer, LB David Thornton, T Mike Otto, T David Stewart, DE Jevon Kearse, DT Sen'Derrick Marks and DE Dave Ball. The Titans have only two QBs on the active roster, Vince Young and Kerry Collins.
Stewart and Otto's absences could be big. Stewart is the starter and Otto is his back-up. It means that Leroy Harris, whom the Titans list as the top back-up at center and guard, will start at right tackle. That should be a match-up LBs Manny Lawson and Parys Haralson (no sacks since Week 1) can win.
Other lineup changes: Gerald McRath will start at OLB for Thornton and Rod Hood will start at CB for Harper.
