I'm looking out the window of the Packers press box, and I'm writing words that have rarely been uttered in Green Bay in late November: It's a beautiful day. The sun is out, there's a few high clouds and the temperature is expected to top out at 56 degrees. Suffice to say, the Packers probably were hoping for some nastier conditions for their California counterparts ...
Takeo Spikes and Brandon Jones are inactive for the 49ers. That means Matt Wilhelm will play "Ted" linebacker today while Arnaz Battle will handle both punt and kick returns. You'll recall that the last time Battle had that job, he dropped a costly punt in Houston. The other inactives are: CB Keith Smith, CB Nate Clements, C Cody Wallace, T Joe Staley, DE Ricky Jean-Francois and QB Nate Davis.
