California voters strongly support far-reaching energy policies to curb global warming, according to a new poll released by an environmental study group called Next 10.
The poll was released as state air quality regulators reach a critical stage of writing new rules for emission of greenhouse gases to implement AB 32, the anti-global warming bill adopted two years ago at the behest of Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger.
The poll says overwhelming majorities of voters support the proposed strategies, even if they might mean higher consumer costs or require changes in personal behavior. Details are available here.
