Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and two current Republican candidates for governor - Meg Whitman and Insurance Commissioner Steve Poizner -- are among the "Top 10" contributors to state candidates, committees or ballot measures during the past decade, according to the state's political watchdog agency.
Steve Bing, a Southern California businessman, was the most generous campaign contributor, at $58.05 million, between January 2000 and Dec. 31, 2009, the Fair Political Practices Commission said.

Steve Westly, former controller and 2006 Democratic gubernatorial candidate for governor in 2006, $41.73 million.
Arnold Schwarzenegger, $25.87 million.
Jerry Perenchio, former owner of Univision Communication, $23.27 million.
Meg Whitman, $19.64 million.
Angelo Tsakopoulos, Sacramento-area developer, $15.80 million.
John Doerr, Silicon Valley venture capitalist, $15.35 million.
Reed Hastings, Netflix founder, $13.41 million.
Bill Simon, 2002 GOP gubernatorial candidate, $10.31 million.
Cumulatively, the 10 individuals contributed almost $267 million of their own funds to candidates, committees or ballot measures.
