Woodland police are looking for seven people who entered a home and beat a man and woman early this morning.
Police were dispatched at 1:16 a.m. to the Woodland Memorial Hospital on a report of a man being treated there injuries to his head and face during a beating, Sgt. Frank Ritter stated in a news release.
During the investigation, police learned that a woman also had been beaten, but didn't need or receive medical treatment.
The victims reported that at 12:30 a.m., they were at the woman's home in the 100 block of Fifth Street when six men and one woman broke into the home and beat up the female resident, he said.
The attackers then went into the male victim's bedroom and assaulted him, Ritter said.
One of the men was described as Latino, about 19 years old, 5-foot-11, 150 to 160 pounds, with brown eyes, a thin mustache and wearing a white hooded sweatshirt with a dark logo on the front, police said.
The female assailant was described as Latina, 5-foot-8, 150 to 160 pounds, 23 years old, with brown hair, brown eyes and wearing a dark sweatshirt and blue jeans.
The investigation is ongoing and a motive has not yet been determined.
