They're concert bound
I bet I know what's going on in Los Angeles right about now: Rehearsals for the upcoming "American Idol" concert tour!
The Top 10 will hit the road - likely in his and her buses - starting July 6 in Sunrise, Fla. Two and a half-plus weeks later and they'll arrive in Sactown, where two local "Idol” fans have marked their calendars for July 25. That’s because each – plus a guest – will be attending the show when it stops that evening at Arco Arena.
Ron Middlekauff of Carmichael and Lauren Batchelor of Sacramento (who has taped every “Idol” season since 2002) are the winners of The Bee’s concert-ticket giveaway. They were selected randomly from nearly 500 entries.
They’ll be joining me for a show featuring Season 6 winner Jordin Sparks, runner-up Blake Lewis and – of course – Sanjaya Malakar. Melinda Doolittle and Lakisha Jones also will perform, as well as Chris Sligh, Gina Glocksen, Haley Scarnato, Phil Stacey and Chris Richardson.
I don't know about the rest of the "Idol" nation, but I'm having a hard time finding TV shows to watch on Tuesday and Wednesday nights, so I'm really looking forward to this concert!
