Former Christian Brothers volleyball standout and 2008 Bee Player of the Year Kayla Neto keeps racking up the hardware.
On Wednesday Neto was named the west region's top freshman by the American Volleyball Coaches Association in addition to making the West Region Honorable Mention team.
This comes after a season in which Neto, a middle blocker at Cal State Fullerton, posted 305 kills, a team-high 79 blocks (including 18 solo stuffs), and a .319 attack percentage which is the third-best single-season mark in school history.
Last month Neto was named the Big West Freshman of the Year and first-team all conference. During the course of the season Neto won the Big West Player of the Week award twice, something no other freshman has ever done in the history of the conference.
With Neto patrolling the middle the Titans tied a school single-season record for wins with 18.
