Straight and to the point. I'm genuinely curious, as we approach the All-Star break in what can only be described as a miserable season in Sacramento, why those of you going to Arco Arena still go.
The economy is in crisis. The team isn't just bad, it's bad and apathetic. The operation has been mishandled from the very top to the players who occasionally deign to give full effort. In that light, the woeful average attendance of 12,405 per home game, although last in the league, may be better than the Kings have a right to expect.
So: Why do you go?
*Bought the tickets a long time ago, when there was still reason to be enthusiastic.
*Season tickets.
*Group outing with a business or club.
*Lost a bet. (OK, one bit of sarcasm.)
*Tickets were given to you by someone who couldn't/didn't want to use them.
*The opponent.
*Lack of options in Sacramento for a social activity.
*The chance to meet a cheerleader in the Boys Night Out promotion.
*More determined to be a loyal fan to offset the thousands of fleeing customers.
*Hanging on through the tough times to maintain a season-ticket location when/if things get good again.
There's no actual poll. Just a curiosity. Money's historically tight -- why are the Kings still getting some of yours?
