Today the judge who heard CASE's lawsuit against the Governor's furlough order
ruled State Fund is exempt from this order stating that the
insurance code and legislative intent behind it exempts State Fund from staff
cutbacks - and that furloughs
fall under that
category.
This ruling raises a number of questions and we ask for
your patience as we sort through the
issues. We are awaiting
the judge's written order and the Board and Executive Team will evaluate how best to proceed.
As solid information
becomes available, we will share it promptly.
