SUBJECT: New Acting CSD
Director
On May 3, 2010, Cliff Allenby will be the
new Acting CSD Director. Because of the importance of the CSD programs
and the large volume of associated ARRA funding, this transition needs to
happen.
Cliff Allenby is a well-respected,
dedicated public servant with over 35 years of state service. He is
currently the Chair of the Managed Risk Medical Insurance Board. Previous
appointments include interim Director of the Department of Social Services from
February 2006-April 2007 and Director of the Department of Developmental
Services from 1997- to 2006. Prior to this, Cliff was the Secretary of
the then- California Health and Welfare Agency and spent over 25 years at the
Department of Finance.
