Fusing food and beauty

mineralfusion_collection.JPGWhole Foods Market at 4315 Arden Way boasts more than fruits and veggies - it's also a good source for specialty beauty products you won't find at the usual places.

For example, the store is now carrying a line of makeup called Mineral Fusion, which it launched last month. It's definitely a colorful collection, boasting more than 100 items, including face powders (both pressed and loose), concealers, lip products (lipstick, gloss, pencils), eye shadow, mascara and both blushers and bronzers. Prices range from $15 to $37.

The company touts its line as "W.R.A.P.-ing" your skin in antioxidants and other good stuff, such as white tea, red tea, antileukine 6 (helps with photo aging) and pomegranate.

If you're into organic, this is a good line to check out. Another bonus: Mineral Fusion products provide UV sun protection.

So, while you're snapping up oranges and wheat germ at Whole Foods, get your beauty thing on at the same time.
