Jocelyn Wiener started at The Bee as a writer in 2003 and has reported on social issues ranging from homelessness to education to youth violence. After graduating from Stanford University in 1999 with a degree in history and Latin American studies, she received a Fulbright scholarship to study El Salvador's youth gang problems. In 2002, she received a master's degree from Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism.
