WOODLAND Police were searching Saturday for a man who robbed the Bank of the West at 186 Main St. earlier in the day.
Police responded to a report at 12:21 p.m. that a man entered the bank, demanded money from a teller and fled with an undisclosed amount.
The robber wore a gray sweat shirt, jeans and a black Pittsburgh Penguins baseball cap, police said. He also was described as white, about 5-foot-11 and weighing 200 pounds, with a short, light-brown beard.
The robbery is under investigation by the Woodland Police Department and the FBI.
