Davis merchants' wishes

Small-business owners in Davis said business planning is their top priority, according to a survey conducted by the Greater Sacramento Small Business Development Center.
In February, SBDC launched a new partnership with the city, the Davis Downtown Business Association and the Davis Chamber of Commerce. An initial step in the partnership was SBDC's distribution of a survey to more than 100 Davis business owners to identify their management needs.
After business planning, SBDC said Davis small-business operators identified marketing and Small Business Administration financing, respectively, as top concerns.
