A contingent of Placer County officials were expected tour the stately campus of University of Warwick in Coventry, England, Tuesday in hopes of continuing a dialogue they hope ends with the prestigious school opening a branch on this side of the pond.
The visit from three county officials and three officials from the City of Roseville is the latest step in the longstanding effort to convert 1,600 acres of farmland on Roseville’s western edge into a college campus funded by development of the surrounding land. The trip is funded by the Sacramento Area Commerce and Trade Organization, which would not disclose the cost of the trip.
Roseville Mayor Susan Rohan said on first blush the campus seemed very vibrant and interesting, with lots of diversity.
