If you’re looking for a little pick me up in the morning, Hot Italian may have the perfect solution for you with their signature Bloody Mary.

While the recipe is simple and classic on the surface, Hot Italian’s house-made Bloody Mary mix elevates the cocktail with an interesting Italian twist. The base for Hot Italian’s mix is the sauce they use for their pizzas, which is strained and seasoned with horseradish, Worcestershire sauce and other traditional Bloody Mary flavorings. Hot Italian’s mix also has a dash of Tabasco sauce to give the vodka drink a little extra kick.

Bartender Alisa Kuwabara said that the tomato sauce base of the mix gives it unique savory flavors that make Hot Italian’s drink special, such as basil and oregano.

To finish off the drink, add lemon and lime slices and your favorite olives, and enjoy.
