Angling for a good time? The California Department of Fish and Wildlife is holding its second free fishing day of the year on Saturday, Sept. 3.
Part of the CDFW’s “Fishing in the City” program, Howe Park (2201 Cottage Way at Howe Avenue, Sacramento) will host the event, which runs from 8:30 a.m. until noon. Rods, bait and tackle will be available free to up to 50 people on a first-come, first-serve basis (no registration required). Instructional clinics also are part of the program.
