Mega-best-selling novelist Jodi Picoult stood on stage at the Tsakopoulos Library Galleria on Tuesday night, telling her audience of 500 fans where she finds her story ideas and revealing who her favorite characters are. She spoke on a wide-ranging variety of topics and read from her 23rd book, “Leaving Time,” for her appearance at the Sacramento Bee Book Club. She pre-autographed 250 copies of “Leaving Time” before the event began.
While she was on stage, one audience member — an aspiring writer — asked, “How do you handle writer’s lock?”
“Writer’s block does not exist,” she said. “The difference between writing and not writing is just doing it.”
