Westboro Baptist Church showed up in Moore, Okla. on Sunday, as promised, but they didn’t stay long.
Members of the church showed up at Central Junior High School to picket. As the group waved their signs in the rain, hundreds of people lined up across the road to stand against Westboro.
Moore was hit by a deadly tornado last year, and the school has been housing elementary students since the natural disaster. On their website, the church said it believed the tornado was an example of “God’s wrath.”
