The Navy’s newest super gun is a long range weapon that uses electromagnetic “Star Wars” technology. It launches projectiles that use speed, not explosives to do damage. Firing at seven times the speed of sound, it can punch through three walls of reinforced concrete and costs a fraction of the price of a conventional Navy missile.
