Family uses canceled Sacramento wedding to feed homeless

A family was devastated when the groom called off a $35,000 wedding in Sacramento, but they decided to keep the dinner reservations and feed those in need.

“When I found out on Monday that the wedding would not be taking place, it just seemed like, of course, this would be something that we would do to give back,” Kari Duane, mother of 27-year-old bride-to-be Quinn, told KCRA 3 Sacramento television station.

The wedding banquet site was Sacramento’s Citizen Hotel. And it was filled with homeless Saturday night. Here’s more of the story:
