It was raining teddy bears as fans threw 28,815 stuffed toys onto the ice during the Calgary Hitmen hockey team’s most recent game.

The bears were for a good cause, since 1995, the team has hosted a “Teddy Bear Toss” at Saddledome Arena and ask fans to bring stuffed animals to a certain December match and donate them to 50 local Canadian charities. This past weekend’s toss set a record as the most ever when over 28,000 were launched onto the ice simultaneously.
