Sutter’s Fort State Historic Park offers a ghoulish experience based in fact with its seventh annual “The Haunted Fort” program on Friday-Saturday, Oct. 28-29. The roughly one-hour, lantern-lit tours provide details of how some early settlers perished. Not appropriate for children under 8. 6:30-9 p.m. $6-$8. www.suttersfort.org
