Unless Santa Claus is handling the delivery, deadlines for mailing gifts for Christmas arrival are fast approaching.
The U.S. Postal Service deadline for first-class and priority mail is Saturday, and priority mail express is Tuesday.
For those using UPS, today is the last day to ship via ground service. Various air delivery services are available until Christmas Eve.
Wednesday was the last day for FedEx ground service, but various other options are available, including same-day delivery on Christmas Day.
The U.S. Postal Service projects 470 million packages will be mailed this holiday season, a 12 percent increase over last year’s volume of 420 million. Today is expected to be the busiest delivery day for packages.
