Two fireworks shows to highlight Sacramento New Year’s Eve

The 15th Annual New Year’s Eve Sky Spectacular will take place from 6 p.m. to midnight in Old Sacramento to ring in the new year. Before the skies fill with color during the two free fireworks displays, at 9 p.m. and midnight, there will be live music, children’s and other live street entertainment and food and drink vendors throughout the historic area. The Theatre of Lights will present its final performances at 7 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. on K Street between Front and Second streets. The firework displays will be synchronized to music to be broadcast on 106.5 FM at 9 p.m. and on 96.9 FM at midnight.
