What: St. Jeong Hae Church is hosting its second Korean Food Festival and K-Pop dance contest.

Learn Ethiopian cuisine

Beginning Farming Academy

What: The Placer/Nevada office of the University of California Cooperative Extension is accepting applications for a two-day intensive introduction to starting a small farm or ranch and the basics of market-driven farming.

When: 8 a.m.-8 p.m. Nov. 1 and 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Nov. 2.
